Lets Make History Together!
Celebrating 150 years
December 14, 2016, signified the start of the Putnam's 150th year – and we plan to celebrate the six generations that have sustained and grown the Putnam into our region's most visited cultural institution!
Our celebrations will be about where we’ve been, where we are...and where we’re going.
Join us for a community-wide photo event
The Putnam Museum & Science Center invites you to a FREE community-wide photo shoot with acclaimed photographer Tom Styrkowicz Jan. 13, 14 and 15 from noon to 4p.m. each day. Because it’s all about our 150th anniversary, general admission to the museum will be $1.50 during the days and times of the photo event.
The portraits taken during the FREE five-minute sessions will be hung on boards in the Putnam’s Grand Lobby for the entire 150th year. Participants will also be able to take home a free print of their portrait immediately following the session.
Participants of all ages are welcome to bring an object of importance that they can hold with them to the photo shoot. Don’t miss this opportunity to help us make history by participating in this wonderful photo opportunity.
