H.O.M.K. or Hyperbolic Origami Mathematics Kit leads your class through the amazing world of angles in the non-Euclidean plane. Explore this high-level concept through accessible lessons that incorporate art and nature with mathematics and paper folding. The kit contains lessons, work samples and visual aids, laptop computer with pre-loaded images or webpages and materials for creating your own hyperbolic origami in the classroom. Davenport Civil Rights Display
Now available to schools! The "Davenport's Civil Rights Movement: 1945-1974" display explores the people and events of these tumultuous years by putting local efforts in the national context. Following World War II, local residents, such as Charles and Ann Toney and the Catholic Interracial Council, worked several fronts to bring equality and fair treatment to all Quad Citians. This display incorporates photographs, documents and biographies about local Civil Rights leaders. While the exhibit focuses on Davenport, these people and their activities affected the entire Quad Cities.
The display consists of four 8 ft. long x 7.25 ft high and 2 ft deep pop-up display units and is transported in four, compact cases. $40 per 4 week rental. To inquire about availability email

Reinforce important basic skills when you visit the Putnam! Our youngest school visitors can now check out a Preschool Pack to explore the exhibits. Just enter an exhibit, reach into the pack and pull out a special object – a letter, number, color or more – then make the connection to an object in the exhibit hall. Infinite possibilities to use over and over! Free but must be booked in advance - email
