Fifty "three-packs" of tickets to summer's BIGGEST movies -- Star Trek, Night at the Museum 2 and Transformers 2 -- have been hidden through the Quad-Cities! Day Camp! Take the plunge with Under the Sea 3D!
12:00-2:00 pm on Saturdays - June 27, July 11, August 8
This crash course covers GPS satellites and how they work, what geocaching is all about, including an introduction to the website, and finishes with a hands-on hunt for caches hidden here on the hill. While geocaching is family-friendly, this course contains up to 45 minutes of lecture/powerpoint presentation so may be most appropriate for adults and families with children ages 9+.
Plan to visit early or stay late to check out the GPS Adventures exhibit. GPS units are available for loan at the Information Center. You will be asked for your credit card, an imprint will be made, then returned to you when the unit is returned.

This advanced course takes geocaching to the next level: "paperless" geocaching. The focus will be on using your PDA to store all the cache information while you're on the trail. BYOPDA!
$6/adults, $4/children ages 12 and under
Members may attend free of charge, but must reserve tickets in advance as this class is limited to 25 participants.

When California girl Susan Murphy is unexpectedly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall and is instantly labeled as a “monster” named Ginormica. The military jumps into action, and she is captured and held in a secret government compound. The world learns that the military has been quietly rounding up other monsters over the years.
